Purpose

Throughout history, one of the greatest challenges for managers, department heads, supervisors, and those in leadership positions has been and remains the management of human resources, that is, their people. People are the central element of organizations, so strategies that focus solely on systems and structures for performance improvement without considering the people are doomed to fail.

Research shows that employees who are satisfied with their manager and the way they are treated are much more likely to trust the organization. As a result, they are expected to stay with the company for a longer period of time and give their best to ensure the success of their organization, which is a huge advantage for employers. On the other hand, many employees who leave an organization cite their supervisor as one of the main reasons for their departure.

This seminar, which has been conducted for the past 2 years through the Human Resource Development Authority, is infused with modern approaches and it is the first in a series of 3 seminars on Human Resource Development. It will provide participants with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors needed to succeed in the challenging role of managing their people. Participants in this seminar will be trained in the necessary skills and techniques required to improve the human resource management capabilities of their organization. Specifically, the participants’ needs such as improving staff motivation levels, effective task delegation, providing feedback and guidance for team performance improvement, and adapting their management style to the different situations they face daily will be covered.
