Father's Day

June 15: Father’s Day

On June 15, 2025, Father’s Day is an opportunity to reflect on the place of men in the work and family environment. At a time when work-life balance is a priority, the role of fathers is evolving and strengthening. Many fathers are active as professionals in the business sector, in positions such as managers, business consultants, strategy consultants, human resources consultants and many other key positions.

The increased focus on fathers’ involvement in parenting is reflected in statistics. According to a Pew Research Center survey (2024), 57% of fathers in developed countries say they spend more time in family than in previous decades. However, this balance remains a challenge for many working parents, due to demanding schedules and high professional expectations.

Businesses have a key role to play in supporting this change. Policies such as parental leave for fathers, flexible working and the possibility of teleworking strengthen men’s involvement in family duties. One example is Microsoft, which offers up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave to its employees, promoting a culture of equality and well-being.

Promoting work and family balance is not only a moral issue but also a strategic decision. Studies show that employees who feel satisfied with this balance are more productive and engaged. According to Harvard Business Review, companies that invest in such policies show 21% higher profitability.

Father’s Day is a highlight of the need for more flexible and supportive work environments. By empowering working fathers, businesses contribute to the creation of stronger and healthier societies, while enhancing their productivity by following the guidelines of business and strategy consultants in Cyprus.
